Mathematical Olympiads: Email of 2018-01-27 to new students

SUBJECT: [TT] Last Introductory Training Session (Tuesday 30 Jan.)

We have one more session to go, except that some of the private schools start their school term on Tuesday, 30 January and so will be missing.

Please come to the last session which will be on Number Theory, if you can. I'll try to record some mini i-lectures of this session.

My Monday and Wednesday sessions with non-new students will be on AMO preparation until Monday 5 February (the AMO is on 6 and 7 Feb.) So, I'd like you being new students to take a break until then.

After the introductory sessions are over, I am inviting you to join either the Monday or Wednesday sessions. The idea is that the Monday sessions at Curtin should be more accessible to those who live/(go to school) south of the river, and the ones at UWA should be more accessible to those who live/(go to school) north of the river.

In order to avoid the sessions on AMO preparation please wait until Monday 12 Feb. at Curtin or Wednesday 7 Feb. at UWA, before joining the sessions, and if you missed the introductory sessions then you really must read the chapters of notes for which there are mini i-lectures *and* view those accompanying mini i-lectures at:

https://aim01.curtin.edu.au/Olympiad
before joining any sessions, and email me for some problems I would like you to try.

Now let me give you directions for the sessions:
