Those who have attended the Introductory Training sessions during January, effectively have completed up to the end of Chapter 5.
Some students were not able to attend and have been reading notes/watching mini i-lectures and doing problems by correspondence. Three of these students have gotten past Chapter 5.
The invitation to join the regular training sessions below, is extended to those students who have completed (at least) up to the end of Chapter 5, either by having attended the Introductory Training or have done by i-lecture and correspondence.
If you have been corresponding, or missed some lectures, and have not completed up to the end of Chapter 5, please continue doing problems by correspondence until you have.
If you want to be taken off my list, have a new email address, know someone who should have received this email but didn't, now would be a good time to let me know.
The parallel regular AMO/TT training sessions start today Monday 3rd Feb., but the Monday session this week will be dedicated to AMO preparation, too difficult for new students. New students who want to come on Mondays should start on 10th Feb.
The Monday sessions will be 3:45-5:45pm in A U 19 (Andrews Upper 19) at Perth Modern School [since changed to be next door in A U 20.]
This week we will have one final AMO training session on Monday. The AMO is on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th Feb. I'm not expecting those who have been invited to sit the AMO to attend on Wednesday. So new students are welcome to start that day.
From Wednesday on, we will be starting the usual sort of training sessions. Where necessary, theory needed for the problems will be explained. I will encourage new students to watch some i-lectures from time to time, so that I don't have to explain theory that the regular attendees already know.
