I sent notification to 11 students that they will receive either the
Phill Schultz Awardor a
Special WAMOC Award.
So far, I have had two and two half RSVPs. (A ‘half’ RSVP means I know they know, and I'm pretty sure they are coming, but I don't have explicit confirmation.) The above awards will be presented at the WAJO Prize-Giving. The WAJO Prize-Giving will be held
at 4pm, on Wednesday 4 November
in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre
To locate it, see
campus map
and enter: Social Sciences Lecture Theatre
in the search box, and click on the unique choice it gives.
Note the Visitors Car Park above the balloon, off
Hackett Entrance 1.
If you are an awardee and can't be there by 4pm, let me know when you can be there, but try not to be later than 4:30pm. There's a risk that it will all be over by then.
Currently, we are in UWA's exam period. So our AMO/TT sessions are in the Robert Street Theatre. If it turns out the Prize-Giving is not finished by 5pm, please come down to Social Sciences Lecture Theatre. There are two awardees that you should meet, and I believe Michael Giudici, Chair of WAMOC and emcee of the Prize-Giving would like to introduce you to the potential next lot of students attending maths olympiad training sessions.
