[AMO/TT] Introductory sessions (2-4pm Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 Jan to 21 Jan in AU 19 at Perth Mod) directions

For a map, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perth_Modern_School#/map/0.
It is helpful to find Administration near the corner Roberts Road with Thomas Street.
Administration is in the southern side of the Andrews building.
The room we plan to use is AU 19 (Andrews building Upper level room 19),
which is in the north-east corner of the second level of the building.
There will be an open door on the west side of the building,
behind (north of) Administration.

The best access is probably from the Subiaco Road side,
(which gives access to the north side of the Andrews building).
Roberts Road gives access to the south side of the Andrews building.

The main issue is negotiating uncrossable major roads and one-way streets, Thomas Street being a major road (a dual carriageway),
and Roberts Road being one-way with traffic travelling east.

So one has to decide on approach:
Travelling north along Thomas Street
One can't turn left into Roberts Road. Go one street further, and turn left into Subiaco Road. Two gates should be open on your left. Ignore the first that's about 20m from Thomas Street, and take the second. It's on the top of the rise, and you will see cars parked on basketball courts. At the southern end are steps and the building directly in front of you is the Andrews building. Turn right and enter the building from the west side.
Travelling east along Roberts Road
Either turn left at Hamilton Street and then right at Subiaco Road, and right again at the top of the rise to enter the parking area on the basketball courts described above, or continue until you find a turning on your left to a “bus” shelter. This is a good drop-off point, though parking there is limited. From there one has to pass a boom gate, and walk until one sees a walkway on the west side of administration, and use that walkway to find the open entry door on the west side of the Andrews building.
Travelling north on Kwinana/Mitchell freeway
Take Cambridge Street exit, turn left into Thomas Street, then right into Railway Parade, pass through a roundabout, turn left at Kerr Street, which becomes Hamilton Street at the junction with Subiaco Road. Either turn left there or turn left at Roberts Road, and from there proceed according to the second set of instructions.
Travelling east along Railway Road
The key thing here is that you "want" to turn right at Kerr Street, but there's a median strip in the way. Just continue along further to the roundabout and use it to to make a 180 degree turn, and proceed according to the third set of instructions.

There are other approaches of course, but the above should be enough for you to work out how to deal with them.

It is conceivable the gates I mentioned that should be open, will in fact be locked. If so, then you will need to be dropped at the “bus” shelter in Roberts Road, and if your parent needs to park, they will need to do the block (Roberts Road-Thomas Street-Subiaco Road- Hamilton Street) and park in Hamilton Street.

Now what should you come with? You should come with something to write with (my favourite is a 2B pencil, and so you should probably have an eraser as well), and something to write in (my favourite is an exercise book, rather than loose paper ... loose pages get lost). I will eventually give you a copy of “A Toolchest of Mathematics Notes”. The ones online here have been updated to 31 December, 2020. I plan to make further updates before I give you a copy. So, I will probably just print the first couple of chapters for when I first see you.
