It is helpful to find Administration near the corner Roberts Road
with Thomas Street.
Administration is in the southern side of the Andrews building.
The room we plan to use is AU 19 (Andrews building Upper level room 19),
which is in the north-east corner of the second level of the building.
There will be an open door on the west side of the building,
behind (north of) Administration.
The best access is probably from the Subiaco Road side,
(which gives access to the north side of the Andrews building).
Roberts Road gives access to the south side of the Andrews building.
The main issue is negotiating uncrossable major roads and one-way streets,
Thomas Street being a major road (a dual carriageway),
and Roberts Road being one-way with traffic travelling east.
There are other approaches of course, but the above should be enough for you to work out how to deal with them.
It is conceivable the gates I mentioned that should be open, will in fact be locked. If so, then you will need to be dropped at the “bus” shelter in Roberts Road, and if your parent needs to park, they will need to do the block (Roberts Road-Thomas Street-Subiaco Road- Hamilton Street) and park in Hamilton Street.
Now what should you come with? You should come with something to write with (my favourite is a 2B pencil, and so you should probably have an eraser as well), and something to write in (my favourite is an exercise book, rather than loose paper ... loose pages get lost). I will eventually give you a copy of “A Toolchest of Mathematics Notes”. The ones online here have been updated to 31 December, 2020. I plan to make further updates before I give you a copy. So, I will probably just print the first couple of chapters for when I first see you.
