Mathematical Olympiads: Email of 2021-02-07-new
[AMO/TT] Training sessions week of Monday 8 Feb are on, but with protocols
The training sessions are on, almost as normal, and as indicated in
the previous email, new students are welcome at both Perth Mod and
at UWA. However, you will be required to wear a mask at both places,
and may need to sign in (see next paragraphs).
If your choice of the two venues is Perth Mod, but
you are not a Perth Mod student, you
must sign in at Administration.
Administration is in the same building (the Andrews building)
as the training sessions,
but uses an entrance on the Roberts Road side.
Just sign in, saying you are involved in “Maths Olympiad Training”
from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm.
At UWA, students will need to sign in on a sheet I will have
at the front of the theatre.
The extra COVID-19 protocols finish on 14 February;
so you won't need to sign in or wear a mask next week.
Recall that the venues are (follow the links for directions) are either
- at Perth Modern School, these are in AU19 or next door in
AU20 (Andrews Upper 20)
on Mondays 3:45-5:45pm,
or,
- at UWA, sessions are usually in
Blakers Lecture Theatre
on Wednesdays 5:00-7:00pm.
When not in Blakers, we are in
Robert Street Lecture Theatre
(and a notice will be left on the door of Blakers LT).
In fact, we are booked to be in Robert Street LT this week
and next week, but please come by Blakers LT.
If it's open and no one else is using it,
we'll have the session in Blakers LT;
otherwise, there will be a note on the door saying we are in
Robert Street LT.
